Is My AudioBio Future-Proof?

Ensuring your ability to pass on your AudioBio to future generations is our top priority. We're dedicated to create an audio legacy that can stand the test of time. The best way to preserve your AudioBio is by using a combination of modern digital technologies and proper storage practices. Here are some steps we are taking - and that you can take to - to ensure the longevity of your AudioBio:

1. We record in Lossless Formats

When we're recording your interview, we use lossless file formats such as WAV or FLAC thanks to professional audio recorders. These formats retain the highest quality of sound and are less susceptible to data loss.

2. We Use High-Quality Recording Equipment

We have invested in professional recording equipment to capture your stories. From microphones to recording devices, to editing stations, etc... To be honest, it's the minimum we can do. It makes a huge difference in enhancing the quality of the audio, making it less subject to degradation.

3. We Use Cloud Storage

That's how we keep your AudioBio safe and accessible from anywhere, at anytime. Cloud platforms offer redundancy and security measures to safeguard your files. Because these digital audio files are not on physical external hardrive for example, they're not perishable. You can seemlessly pass them on to the next generations with just a simple click!

4. We Use - and Provide - Memory Cards

Because you might want to possess something more tangible, we can put your AudioBio on high-capacity and reputable memory cards for portable storage. These cards are durable and can be easily stored in a safe place. You can plug them into computers and laptop to access your AudioBio.

5. We Backup Regularly

We create multiple backup copies of your AudioBio and store them on different devices as well as cloud platforms to protect against data loss due to hardware failures or accidents.

6. We Control Temperature and Humidity

We store physical copies of your AudioBio in a controlled environment with stable temperature and humidity levels. Extremes in these conditions can lead to degradation of physical media.

7. We Label and Organize

Properly labelling and organizing your audio recordings is absolutely key to us. This is how we make sure we can provide back-up files of your AudioBio in case you lose your physical copy.

8. We Regularly Transfer Formats

As technology evolves, we will be transferring your audio recordings to newer formats to ensure compatibility with future devices. At any time, you can get in touch with us to ask us for advice if you'd like to do the same.

By combining these methods, we can ensure that your AudioBio is future-proof. We want it to remain intact, accessible, and enjoyable for many years to come.
